Wire ropes are used for a wide variety of purposes through industry viz stranded wire ropes, consisting of strands wound spirally around a central core of steel or, more commonly fibre such as hemp or jute.During use the rope flexes and twists and the wires slide and bend over each other and over sheaves. This causes wear and stress fatigue. The wear is countered by applying lubricant during manufacture.
* The lubricant soaked up in the core makes it supple and the core can serve as a reservoir during use.
* The more important function of the lubricant is to protect the rope from rust.

| PERFORMANCE STANDARDS |
THE ROPES REQUIRE TWO TYPES OF DRESSING : |
MYTOL WIREROPE BB, NB & S essentially meets the requirements as per IS 9182 (Part 1, 2 & 3 ): 1993
|
Core & Strand Dressings applied during mfg.
The main function of the dressing is to provide corrosion protection and also lubrication during initial service.
Service dressing
The main function of service dressing is to provide corrosion protection and therefore the product used must be sufficiently fluid to penetrate through to the core during application yet viscous enough to be retam
|
MYTOL WIREROPE offers :
* Excellent water repellency and anti- corrosive property.
* Better protection against corrosion at high temperature and high humidity
* Retains surface shine of the coirs
